CHAMPIONS!!!! Congratulations are in order for Cotgrave Colts under 14s who on Wednesday night defeated Burton Joyce to win the under 14 division 2 championship. The under 14s have gone through the full season of twenty four games undefeated, a remarkable achievement and only dropped 12 points all season, winning eighteen out of their twenty four games. Cotgrave were always favourites but were pressed all the way by RR Leisure yellow but Cotgrave never let the pressure get to them. Well done to all the players and management of the team, and good luck in division 1 next season. The club are confident you can carry on with your success. Well done boys.

200 up!! Congratulations to Jack Collier and Matt Gamble who both made their 200th appearence for Cotgrave Colts in a exciting match against Gedling Town last night. The achievement being greater due to the fact that when Jack and Matt started there were no leagues for under 8s, so their appearences only started in the under 9 season. Jack and Matt are only the 5th & 6th player in Cotgrave Colts history to reach the 200 milestone after Graham Lynn, Shaun Harris, James Gordon and Graeme Goulding, the last two having achieved the milestone with this team earlier in the season. Well done Jack and Matt, Cotgrave player's through and through and a real credit to the club.

James even managed to score in the game giving him 7 for the season. A 6 - 2 victory in this game means that if they win their last two games, the under 14s are champions. Good luck to all the team in their final two matches. Well done Eddie and James.

The game is to be played on Thursday 22nd March 2007 with a 7.30pm kick off. The game is against old rivals Gedling Town. If Cotgrave can perform like they did today against Moorgreen, then you should be treated to a thrilling game. Lets get down to the ground and support the boys. Good luck Cotgrave.

Posted - 17th March 2007

200 up!! Congratulations to Graeme Goulding who today made his 200th appearence for Cotgrave Colts in a brilliant match against Moorgreen Colts. The achievement being greater due to the fact that when Graeme started there were no leagues for under 8s, so his appearences only started in the under 9 season. Graeme is at present the longest serving player for the club, starting over 10 years ago as a 5 year old. Graeme is only the fourth player in Cotgrave Colts history to reach the 200 milestone after Graham Lynn, Shaun Harris and James Gordon. By the end of the season Graeme is hoping to have made 209 appearences leaving him 3rd behind Graham Lynn and James Gordon in all time appearences for Cotgrave. Well done Graeme, a Cotgrave player through and through and a real credit to the club.

100 not out for Lewis Dobbins . Cotgrave Colts under 13s player Lewis Dobbins scored 2 goals today to take his Colts goals up to 100 goals. Lewis has scored 35 goals (so far) this season which is a record for any Colts player at the Under 13 level. Well done Dobbo - tickaboo son!!!

Lets get down to the ground and support the boys. Good luck Cotgrave.

Well done Craig, Dylan & Will.

Ryan Hits a Century Unlike the England cricket team, the century's are coming thick and fast for the players of Cotgrave Colts. Today saw Ryan Shield from the Under 12's play his 100th league and cup game for the Colts. Not bad for a player that nearly turned away from the sport at the beginning of the season. Well done Ryan, you marked your 100th appearance with an excellent performance. Keep going to your 200th! Well done Ryan.

Posted - 6th January 2007

200 up!! Congratulations to James Gordon who today made his 200th appearence for Cotgrave Colts. James started his Cotgrave career as a goalkeeper and was one of the best young keepers I have ever seen, winning the man of the match award when playing in the YEL cup final at under 9s. James is not though the tallest player so after the under 14 season James moved out of goal and now plays right wing for the under 16s. James is only the third player in Cotgrave Colts history to reach the 200 milestone after Graham Lynn and Shaun Harris.By the end of the season James is hoping to have made 211 appearences leaving him 2nd behind Graham Lynn in all time appearences for Cotgrave. Well done James, a real credit to the club.
