Netherfield took a two goal lead, scoring in the 7 th and 12 th minute, but Will Robinson reduced the lead to 2-1 scoring in the 16 th minute.

Second Half

Netherfield extended their lead on 30 minutes, but Cotgrave pulled another goal back in the 33 rd minute when Liam Hurworth surprised the keeper shooting from long range. Netherfield killed the game off, scoring another two goals on 40 and 45 minutes, but Johnny Commins grabbed a late goal for the clarets, scoring his 30 th goal of the season.

Summary

Sorry for the short match report today, but I never got round to doing it after the game, so forgot most of the game.

Netherfield won the league in their previous game, so came to Cotgrave full of confidence. I think the Cotgrave players looked tired tonight after playing a lot of games in the last couple of weeks, but everyone put 100% effort in. Netherfield had plenty of options tonight, naming a 14 man squad, so they had plenty of fresh legs to bring on. Unfortunately we are unable to grab fourth place after tonight’s defeat, but we can say we played a huge part in Netherfields success this season, being the only team to beat Sandiacre. Well done to Phil and all of his Netherfield players for winning the league.
