First Half

A Sunny Sunday Morning saw The Under 7's take on Bingham Town. Due to holidays and illness we were a few players short, so jack Hill and Kenny Robertson from the U7 Clarets came and helped us out.

We started the match Kicking off downhill. A Good run from inside his own half by Harry Williams saw the Bingham keeper making a good save to deny Cotgrave the first goal. Bingham soon started to take Control of the game and only some excellent defending by Harvey kept them from scoring. Unfortunately it wasn't long before they took the lead. Bingham's No 3 lobbing our keeper from 25yds out.

Cotgrave had a change of players with Sam, harry and Dillin coming off and Jack, Craig and Jordon coming on. Cotgrave had a few good shots on goal but were yet again denied a goal by the excellent goalkeeping from the Bingham keeper.

Bingham's No 3 soon popped up again with another lovely chip over our keeper. It didn't take long for him to score the 3rd and 4th goal for Bingham.

Half Time: Cotgrave 0 Bingham Town 4 

Second Half

A good talking to by the Manager at half time saw Cotgrave start the second half a lot stronger. Jordon having a shot on goal and a corner taken by our captain sam both being saved well by the keeper.

We Piled on the pressure but the goalkeeper kept the score at 0-4. Bingham didn't look half as dangerous as they did in the first half apart from, yes you've guessed it there No3 who again had a shot form 30yds out, but a wonderful save by harry kept the ball out of our net.
A last minute effort from jack Hill saw him hit the post.

Final Score: Cotgrave 0 Bingham Town 4

Summary

Cotgrave played some excellent football in the 2nd half and deserved a goal. Brilliant goalkeeping by Harry Haywood earned him the Man of the match. Well done Harry.
