It was absolutely freezing and pouring with rain, but the enthusiastic u7's boys were there as usually ready to play. They were already soaking wet from their half an hour warm up session before the match. (not so sure it warmed them up) and maybe Steve should have invited the parents to join in as well.

We started as usually kicking down hill and within a few minutes Edwalton's defence made a mistake allowing Dillin to slot the ball into the back of their net. Edwalton put some pressure on our defence but Harry made some superb saves and I'm sure he was enjoying sliding about in the mud. The pressure continued and saw Harvey our captain for this match kick the ball off the line. Steve kept the subs rotating fast so as not to let them get to cold.

HALF TIME: BLUES 1 EDWALTON 0

The start of the second half saw Edwalton continue as they finished the first half with lots of pressure on our defence and goal, hitting the post. and only some good saves kept the score at 1-0. The Boys held on well to their lead but unfortunately in the last minute of the game Edwalton slotted one in the net.

 Boys you played so well especially as I know you were all freezing and close to tears with the cold. You deserved a win. Well done to Harvey for Man of the match and Thanks to Carl for reffing the match for us  Keep up the good work Steve.
