On another sunny morning, Cotgraves second game of the session,  against AFC Vernon Colts starts at a fast pace.

Both sides start well, attacking at the offset.  Harrison took a shot which was saved by the Vernon goal keeper.   Vernon come back with a corner but it goes out for a Cotgrave goal kick.  Good defence from Jordan and Jacob.  Vernon then step it up with a good pass and a shot at the goal but this is saved by Clark.  Vernon then attack again this time shooting and scoring.  Cotgrave then commence with a run up the field with a cross from Luis to Keiran, who then shoots and scores, making it 1-1.   Vernon push up the field crossing and passing the ball well making Cotgraves defence work hard.  Cotgrave move forward for Luis to have a shot but went wide.  Vernon then attack again to score two more goals, making the score 1-3 at half time.

Adam Ward and James Bennett are brought on during the second half, with James defending straight away.  Vernon strike and score.  Cotgrave move in with Adam, Jordan and Harrison moving up filed for an attack.  Vernon then attempt to score but this is saved by Clark.

Play is then interrupted for SUPER POOPER SCOOPER CARL to clear some mess off the pitch and what a lovely mover he was.

Play is quickly resumed with Cotgrave having a chance by Harrison, only to be saved by Vernon goal keeper. 

Vernon had the upper hand today making our defenders and goal keeper work hard.  Vernon played well as team with plenty of passing and crossing of the ball.

A hard game today for Cotgrave, but well tried boys and well played to Vernon.
