Cotgrave Squad: Adam. Luke S, Luke H, Ben, Kieren, Jacob, James, Clarke, Luis, Jordan, Liam. A cold but sunny morning at Gotham, Cotgrave kick off and start off at a good pace. Gotham begin to push forward but Kieren makes a good tackle, then Cotgrave go forward and show some good passing between Liam,Luis and Jordan. Gotham create their first chance by shooting just past the post but then Cotgrave attack back with Jordan hitting the post. Some good defending by Luke S and Jacob limit Gotham's chances, Cotgrave then get a throw in near the Gotham penalty area, Luis takes it and throws to Jordan who makes a great pass to Kieren which Kieren puts in the net 0-1 to Cotgrave. A few minutes later Gotham pull level to make it 1-1, and Gotham start to create a few more chances but good defending and a few good saves by Adam keep it at 1-1. A few minutes from half time Gotham score a second to make it 2-1. Half time: Gotham Rangers 2 - 1 Cotgrave Colts Second half Cotgrave make a few changes Kieren comes off and James comes on, Cotgrave start strong second half and nearly score by Luis but for an excellent save by the Gotham goal keeper. A few minutes later Gotham score to make it 3-1. Cotgrave then make a few more changes Liam and Luke S come off and Ben and Clarke come on, both get stuck in straight away with the game. Cotgrave start pressing forward again and Jacob makes a good attempt to score from the half way line and just misses. Then Jacob and James come off and Luke H and Kieren come on. Cotgrave put more pressure on Gotham and are awarded a penalty which Luis puts away brilliantly 3-2 to Gotham. Clarke makes some excellent tackles to keep Cotgrave in the game but the game finishes 3-2 to Gotham. Unlucky Cotgrave you all played well you did'nt deserve to lose, lets hope on Wednesday you can make amends. Well done Clarke for getting man of the match. |
