A good turnout again on a warmer sunnier day

Cotgrave kick off and go on the attack straight away with a quick pass forward to James, who hits it straight into the back of the net to go 1-0 up. Again Cotgrave get the ball with Harry running down the right to shoot a cracking ball into the top corner making it 2-0.

Cotgrave have started well making Ruddington defend hard. Ruddington get the ball and make a good run up the field passing well and having a shot at goal and scoring making it 2-1.  Cotgrave come back with Jordan passing to James who then passes to Harry with Ruddington defending sending the ball out. A Cotgrave throw to Jordan sees him pass to Kieran who shoots this time to be saved by the Ruddington keeper.

Ruddington then attack putting Luke.S and Jacob under pressure in defence. The ball then gets passed to Kieran who runs down the left passes to Jordan who shoots only to be saved again by the Ruddington keeper.

Ruddington make a run up to goal, have a shot, which brings Clark into the game with a good save.   Ruddington keep on the attack making our defenders work hard. Jordan gets the ball and fires a great shot from just past the halfway line to go 3-1 up. Again some good passing between harry and Jordan gives Jordan another shot making it 4-1

Ruddington push hard with James stopping them and Harry getting the ball and scoring making it 5-1. Ruddington fight on with an attack and scoring making it 5-2.  Cotgrave make some changes with Adam coming on and Kieran coming off.                

Half time: Cotgrave 5 Ruddington 2

Ruddington kick off with Harry collecting the ball but kicking it over the crossbar. Cotgrave get the ball again this time Harry shooting and making it 6-2. Ruddington attack again this time Adam chasing and kicking the ball away for a throw in. Ruddington win the ball and get past the defence have a shot and score making it 6-3. More Cotgrave changes with James coming off and Ben on. Cotgrave continue with Adam hitting a wide ball and Cotgrave winning a corner where Jordan gets the ball and scores making it 7-3.  The pressure continues with Adam running up with Harry who shoots this time being saved by Ruddington. Jacob comes off with Luke.H coming on. Luke H is put under pressure straight away having to defend from an attack with Adam kicking the ball out for a Ruddington corner. Harry picks up the ball has a great run up passes the defenders and scores making it 8-3. Cotgrave are attacking very well putting Ruddington under pressure but Ruddington are not giving up. They get a free kick with a shot that goes in making it 8-4. 

The game finishes with Cotgrave winning 8-4

This was a very good fast game today Cotgrave with both sides playing well.  Keep it up Lads! 

Well done to everyone and especially to Ruddington who kept their heads up and kept going and coming back with some great attacks.
