| A
good result today lads, another three points, well done. It was a workman like performance where we just did enough. This wasn’t bad considering we had two defenders missing. Aaron and George filled in at the back and did really well. We didn’t create many chances in the first half and Moorgreen looked more likely to score through some well delivered corners. We did, however hit the crossbar from a corner and have a shot fly past the post. I suppose it wasn’t too bad as we were locked in the changing rooms before the match. We just managed to get out on time. Bob the builder, can you fix it ? Half time 0-0 . |
| The second half was much better with us going in the lead with a goal from Will, who calmly put the ball in the back of the net after the keeper parried a shot from John. Moorgreen equalised five minutes later with a low hard shot which just crept under Carrick, who had a great game in goal for us. We managed to get our noses in front when John closed down their defender, who lost control, which left John a simple tap in. It was pretty nerve racking after with Moorgreen coming close to equalising.... Final score 2-1. |
| Carrick,
George, Aaron, Will, Josh, Callum, John, well done. We had no subs, and
needed to work extremely hard. Everyone did that in the second half and
we managed to get a result. Let’s keep it up. Steve |
Feedback: name: ian lynn Involvement: Neutral Well done today,it was tough going against Moorgreen who always produce good teams.I enjoyed refereeing today even though we started late, getting locked in the dressing room is something i would expect Ralph to do!!not Steve and the team. Well done to you all especially Aaron whos Cruyff turn to get away from his opponent was the best bit of skill i have seen from a Cotgrave player this season. |
Feedback: name: Ralph Involvement: Cotgrave Manager Well done to Steve and all the team for a great result... keeps us well on course for 3rd on the league.... and without subs as well. Lets look forward to the semi against Vernon this Sunday. Thanks also to Ian for reffing... Don't think I would have even got in the changing room Ian!! |
Feedback: name: john dale Involvement: Neutral i am sure ralph would of found the dressing room but he would of lost the keys or took them home |
Did you see things differently? Do you have anything to add? We will add feedback to the bottom of the report, but PLEASE refrain from personal criticism, whether it is players, referee, linesman, managers etc. If you do, then it will not be added. Try as much as possible to keep it positive.
